Unable to mount partition ERROR!!!

Most of the times , this error is caused by the hibernation of windows in a linux - windows dual boot system.
Reason : When we hibernate windows , windows copies all the information about the state of the software which were running at the time to a file called "hiberfill.sys" . Then windows sets a flag in this file to tell the system that windows was hibernated . But in linux , the tool which is responsible for mounting the drives do not mount the particular drives when it sees the flag.

There are few options you can try to get rid of this ,

1) Restart the machine and go to the windows installation and see whether it has been hibernated.
     if so, restart the machine
2) If the above solution doesn't work, try this solution

Go to Power options -> click on "Choose what power button does" -> "Change settings that are       currently unavailable" -> unchek the "Turn on fast startup " check box
